Behaviour

At North Baddesley Infant School & Nursery we believe that behaviour must be taught. Like any taught subject, pupils have a variety of starting points and we are always focussed on the next step for any individual child. You can read our Behaviour Policy here along with our Behaviour Practices.

We believe rules and expectations should be simple so that everyone can be successful. At North Baddesley Infant School & Nursery our expectation is that everyone is:

When managing behaviour we give our first attention to best behaviour and make sure we are 'Positively Noticing' the things our pupils do to be Ready, Respectful and Safe.

If our pupils have times when they could improve their behaviour, we always highlight how a change in their behaviour can help them to be Ready, Respectful and Safe.

Positive behaviours are noticed and praised at every opportunity in order to reinforce these three behaviour expectations.  This happens in many ways, including immediate recognition, Star of the Day, Golden Leaf Awards presented in Celebration Assemblies, along with stickers, postcards and phone calls home.
