Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

Early Years Foundation Stage at North Baddesley Infant School and Nursery

Here at North Baddesley Infant School and Nursery we offer early years provision from 2 years of age until the end of the reception year.

Our provision provides a nurturing space for children to explore, learn and begin to make sense of the world around them. With a commitment to our school values of independence, respect and resilience, we support children in developing their understanding of their belonging to our school community, their mindset that gives them the confidence to give something a go and the ability to continue to try, even if they are faced with challenge.

Across both Nursery and Year R, the children start their journey to achieve our curricular goals.

We work towards these goals by providing a broad and balanced curriculum that is based on the fascinations and interests of the individual child. This is enriched with memorable experiences to inspire a lifelong love of learning.

Across our provision we are supported and work with the following to achieve our curriculum design…

Consideration of the Educational Programmes

Non-Statutory Guidance

(Development matters, birth to 5, knowledge of child development)
